The United States Steel Building has its steel framework outside the shell of the structure, which is a great hemisphere of gleaming stainless steel built on a plot of 55,166 square feet. Visitors who enter see a dramatic presentation of the theme: “Steel Thinks Ahead.” Walter Dorwin Teague designed the exhibit with G. F. Harrell as associate. The architects are York & Sawyer.
