Federal Building and Surrounding Area New York World’s Fair The $3,000,000 Federal Area where the United States Government will be host to millions of visitors to the New York World’s Fair 1939. Below the imposing Federal Building and on easch side of the Court of Peace in which 50,000 people can assemble, are eight structures comprising the Hall of Nations. About 60 foreign countries are represented. A broad Lagoon with one of the Fair’s largest fountains terminates the area.
