I am wondering if there was a chance this was made in the WPA area as Laura Taylor from North Dakota was there doing pottery for the WPA. Tthe color of the clay looks close to North Dakota clay and if this was made for Maxine and fired as an item from the World's Fair.

It was done in a mold and then finished by hand with details which I know Laura Taylor did as I had a jackrabbit she had done while at University of North Dakota earlier.
