The Siamese section of the Hall of Nations was decorated and furnished in a style typical of the Far Eastern country. Here were sound films depicting the colorful everyday life of its people, revealing exotic native scenes that included the magnificent places and temples of Bangkok. Models of royal state barges were exhibited, Siamese industrial activities were portrayed, and you were able to gaze upon native handiwork: niello silverware, golden lacquer work, mother-of-pearl, carved ivory, dolls, theatrical masks, jewelry, zircons, and sapphires. Primarily an agricultural country, Siam displayed samples of her rice, sticlac, raw rubber, teakwood, and many other items.
