The two buildings, connected at the first floor housed many exhibits. A replica of the Crown Jewels was on display in the Royal Room. The Silver Room contained many coins and medals struck by the Royal Mint. The Court of Honor contained an elaborate display of heraldry, and a collection of antique silver-gilt plate.
Other exhibits and displays were devoted to Public Welfare, the Mercantile Marine, British Industries, and Civil Aviation. Many historical documents, linking the English speaking world were viewed in the Magna Charta Hall. The pavilion also housed an art gallery, cinema, restaurant and a section devoted to official publications.
